Camper for Bandcamp
Meet your new Bandcamp player.
Your Bandcamp collection deserves a proper home, on Android and iOS. Independent software for independent music.
Built around
the way you listen.
Your collection up front. The next discovery a few taps away. And the details that make a player feel right.
- Albums, singles, artists, and playlists, with search and a queue that picks up where you left off. Download what you own to keep listening offline.
- Explore Discover, read Bandcamp Daily, and tune into Radio, no sign-in needed. Save finds to your wishlist, and buy on Bandcamp when a record grabs you.
- Native on both, with Android Auto and CarPlay for the drive, Cast and AirPlay for the living room, and Wear OS on your wrist.
- Camper connects to your collection with the Subsonic credentials Bandcamp generates, never your Bandcamp password. Sign in on Bandcamp’s page or enter them yourself, and they stay encrypted on your device.
Questions around
the campfire.
Is Camper made by Bandcamp?
No. Camper is independent software, not affiliated with or endorsed by Bandcamp. It plays your Bandcamp collection and Bandcamp’s public feeds, and when you buy, you buy on Bandcamp.
Do I need a Bandcamp account?
Not to explore. Discover, Bandcamp Daily, and Radio work without signing in. To play your collection, connect your Bandcamp account, and your wishlist and the artists you follow come along when you sign in on Bandcamp’s page.
Is my Bandcamp password safe?
Camper never asks for your Bandcamp password. You sign in on Bandcamp’s own page, and Camper connects with the Subsonic credentials Bandcamp generates for you in Fan Settings. You can also enter them yourself. Either way, they stay encrypted on your device.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. Download anything you own and it plays without a connection. Downloads wait for Wi-Fi unless you tell Camper cellular is fine, and on Wear OS you can download music right to your watch.
Can I play music I haven’t bought?
You can play the previews Bandcamp offers as you browse Discover, Daily, and Radio. Full albums and downloads are for the music in your collection, so when a record grabs you, buy it on Bandcamp and it joins your library.
Can I buy music in Camper? Do artists get paid?
Camper doesn’t sell music. Tap Buy on Bandcamp and you check out on Bandcamp itself, so your purchase supports the artist the same way it does on the website.
Which devices does Camper work on?
Android phones on Android 10 and later, and iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 and later. Camper also plays through Android Auto and CarPlay in the car, Cast and AirPlay in the living room, and Wear OS on your wrist.
What data do you collect?
Camper has no ads, builds no tracking profiles, and never sells your data. Your collection, settings, and downloads stay on your device. Crash reports go to Sentry with credentials removed, and the privacy policy has the details.
Can I share what I’m listening to?
Yes. Camper makes an artwork-led share card for a release, a Daily story, or a Radio episode, and you can post it anywhere from your share sheet, Instagram Stories included.
See you at camp.
